Salary Advantages up to $137,****** - $147,****** per annum Salary packaging up to $15,****** per annum Relocation assistance up to $5,000 Tennant Creek, NT We are seeking a passionate and capable Rural Remote Team Leader to lead outreach healthcare services across the Barkly Region.
This rewarding role combines clinical practice, leadership, community engagement and public health, offering the opportunity to work closely with Aboriginal communities and help improve health outcomes where they are needed most.
About the Role Based in Tennant Creek , you will lead a multidisciplinary outreach team delivering primary healthcare services to remote communities and outstations throughout the Barkly Region.
This hands-on leadership position combines team management, clinical service delivery and community engagement.
You will support staff, coordinate outreach activities, drive quality healthcare outcomes and work collaboratively with community members to ensure services are responsive to local needs.
Salary Benefits Registered Nurse $137,****** - $147,****** per annum Aboriginal Health Practitioner $120,****** - $128,****** per annum Additional Benefits 12% Superannuation Salary packaging up to $15,****** per annum Subsidised accommodation (eligible positions) Relocation assistance up to $5,000 Six weeks annual leave Professional development support and study assistance Remote retention and travel allowances Bilingual language allowance opportunities Free access to healthcare services and prescriptions Free general dental services (excluding laboratory costs) Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate rural and remote outreach healthcare services.
Provide clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and support to team members.
Deliver health assessments, screening, treatment and follow-up care.




Coordinate immunisation programs and preventative health initiatives.
Support chronic disease management and population health programs.
Promote health education and community wellbeing activities.
Facilitate specialist referrals, care coordination and telehealth services.
Build strong relationships with community members and key stakeholders.
Contribute to quality improvement, reporting and service development initiatives.
Essential Requirements Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) or Aboriginal Health Practitioner .
Experience in primary healthcare and/or rural and remote health settings.
Demonstrated leadership, supervision and team coordination experience.
Strong communication, consultation and relationship-building skills.
Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes.
Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
Eligibility to obtain an NT Ochre Card and National Police Check.
Commitment to culturally safe healthcare delivery.
Desirable Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO).
Knowledge of Communicare.
Previous remote Northern Territory experience.
Immunisation certification.
Four-wheel drive training or willingness to undertake training.
