AML Compliance/ Senior AML Compliance Specialist | Manila | Permanent | Hybrid | Multiple Positions WhiteLight AML is partnering directly with a Financial Services organization as it continues a major expansion of its AML and Financial Crime operations in Manila.
We are looking for experienced AML Compliance/ Senior AML Compliance Specialists to join a Monitoring Investigations team, supporting financial crime operations across the Australian market.
With multiple teams being established and a number of upcoming hiring intakes, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced AML, transaction monitoring and financial crime professionals looking for their next long-term move.
The Opportunity As an AML Compliance/ Senior AML Compliance Specialist, you will undertake complex financial crime investigations and provide experienced risk-based judgment across AML, transaction monitoring, fraud and associated financial crime matters.
You will be expected to analyse complex customer and transaction activity, identify patterns and financial crime indicators, document high-quality investigation outcomes and determine when matters require escalation.
The role suits someone who is comfortable going beyond a checklist and applying solid investigative judgment, attention to detail and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed AML and financial crime investigations Review complex customer and transaction activity for indicators of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other financial crime Analyse alerts, behavioural patterns, transactional activity and available intelligence Undertake enhanced investigation of higher-risk or more complex matters Apply sound risk-based judgement when determining investigation outcomes Identify matters requiring further escalation or investigation Produce clear, concise and well-supported investigation narratives Ensure case records are complete,



accurate and audit-ready Work closely with Quality Review Analysts and Supervisors to maintain high investigation standards Support consistent application of Western Union's financial crime procedures and regulatory requirements Contribute to the development of a strong investigative and quality culture across the team What We're Looking For We are looking for experienced financial crime professionals with: Strong experience across AML, KYC, transaction monitoring or financial crime investigations Advanced investigative experience required Transaction monitoring and/or fraud prevention experience highly regarded Strong understanding of AML and financial crime risks and controls Ability to investigate complex activity and identify patterns, inconsistencies and red flags Excellent written communication and investigation documentation skills Strong analytical and risk-based decision-making capability Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards An organised, structured and investigative approach to work Candidates who can demonstrate strong experience across transaction monitoring, AML investigations, fraud prevention or complex financial crime casework will be particularly attractive.
