Job Title : Software Engineer II Location: Brisbane, Australia Job Title/High Level Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our Product Development team.
This role is ideal for a graduate or early-career engineer looking to grow their skills while contributing to modern healthcare software solutions.You will work as part of a collaborative Agile team building and maintaining web applications and backend services that support clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals worldwide.

NET/C#, Vue.js, TypeScript, Python, cloud technologies, and a microservices-based architecture.The successful candidate will be passionate about software development, eager to learn, and excited to contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and quality specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that create real value for our customers.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services using .
NET/C#, Vue.js, TypeScript, and Python.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of microservices and REST APIs.
Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards and best practices.
Investigate and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
Contribute to application architecture discussions and technical design activities.
Support CI/CD pipelines and software deployment activities.
Continuously learn new technologies, frameworks,



and development practices to improve both individual and team capability.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.
Scope / Role Dimensions Works as part of a cross-functional Agile software development team.
Contributes to customer-facing web applications and backend platform services.
Collaborates with engineers across multiple product and platform teams.
Participates in the ongoing evolution of cloud-native and microservices-based solutions.
Supports both new feature development and maintenance of existing products.
Opportunities to contribute to architecture, automation, quality, and platform improvements as skills develop.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Commercial software development experience, or equivalent internship/university project experience.
Experience with object-oriented programming principles.
Exposure to C#, .
NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar contemporary programming languages.
Understanding of web application development fundamentals.
Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate within a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and grow as a software engineer.
Desired Qualifications Experience with .
NET and C#.
Experience with Vue.js, React, Angular, or another modern frontend framework.
Exposure to TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
Understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented or microservices architectures.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker.
Understanding of automated testing practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience contributing to personal, academic, or open-source software projects.
Interest in healthcare technology and delivering solutions that improve customer outcomes.
