Job Description Our northern Outback NSW council client is seeking a Senior Water Skilled, with accommodation work vehicle provided.
The initial contract is for six months, commencing immediately/ASAP, at $103 - $113 per hour plus super (negotiable).
Due to the operational nature of the role, and the need to work closely with Council staff, contractors and local facilities, Council would require the person to be based on site for approximately 80% of the engagement.
Some flexibility may be available for remote work during the balance of the time.
The person would work closely with, and provide additional capacity to, Council's Manager Water and Wastewater, and may need to step into that role in periods of leave or other absence.
Council currently has a significant water and wastewater program underway, including: major improvements to the water supply, including a new bore pipeline, telemetry, cooling and chlorination infrastructure water quality,
treatment and regulatory improvement projects across several remote communities renewal and improvement of ageing water and wastewater infrastructure operational reviews, asset planning, procurement and contractor management development and delivery of capital works, including project scoping, design coordination, approvals, construction oversight and commissioning strengthening operational systems, documentation, reporting and compliance arrangements.
The role would suit someone who can move comfortably between operational support and project delivery.
Strong practical experience in regional or remote water utilities, treatment systems, capital works delivery, contractor management and regulatory compliance would be highly regarded.
