Ongoing, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.

What you will do
As Senior Aboriginal Policy and Projects Officer, you will improve Aboriginal healthcare across Victoria.
You will work with Aboriginal people and health services to improve care.
You will:
design, deliver and review
practical
improvements to Aboriginal healthcare and cultural safety
will listen to Aboriginal people in custody and youth justice, then use their views to improve healthcare
work with Aboriginal health organisations, health providers and justice teams to solve
important
issues
build
strong
working relationships that help resolve problems and improve care
prepare
clear
reports, briefs and project plans to help senior leaders make decisions.
About you
You do not need a mandatory qualification. A relevant qualification in healthcare, public policy or justice is highly desirable.
You must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to apply for this designated position. You will need to provide a Certificate of Aboriginality before an offer.
You should also have:
strong knowledge
of Aboriginal communities, culture and issues affecting Aboriginal people
sensitive communication skills
and the ability to work well with Victorian Aboriginal communities
strong analytical skills
to research issues and develop clear policy and program options
strong people skills
and the ability to build trusted working relationships.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Aboriginal) people are strongly encouraged to apply.
