About the role
Dr Benjamin Hewitt is seeking a Medical Secretary to join our Orthopaedic practice on a part time basis in Nedlands, WA.
Our team of three secretaries means that work can be flexible.
We are looking for someone to do 4/5 days a fortnight.
Key responsibilities
Managing patient appointments, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records using GENTU practice management systems
Booking surgery
Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately to medical staff
Greeting and registering patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming first impression
5. Managing invoicing, accounts payable and basic financial administration
6. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation and practice protocols
7. Ordering medical supplies and managing inventory as required
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a medical secretary or in a similar medical administration role.
Experience with medical billing.
Proficiency with GENTU or similar practice management software and Microsoft Office applications




Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
4. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare administration practices
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
