Financial Accountant
Location
: Sydney CBD
Rate:
$******* per day + 14% super
Contract:
6 months
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional to support their team in a 6 month contract during a critical year-end reporting period. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant with a background in audit and group consolidations to step into a high-impact role.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the year-end close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements
Perform group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments
Liaise directly with external auditors and manage audit queries and requests
Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group requirements
Provide analytical support and ensure high levels of data accuracy and integrity
Work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with minimal onboarding
Skills & Experience:




Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting or reporting roles
Previous audit experience or Big 4 / mid-tier audit background highly regarded
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
Proven experience managing year-end reporting and audit processes
Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
Project management experience is advantageous
Available immediately or within 1 week.
