Description
Your Role:
Based at RAAF Base Fairbairn, Canberra, the SPA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) plays a vital role in
maintaining
the prestigious Special Purpose Aircraft (SPA) Fleet, supporting the 34 Squadron RAAF operations. Reporting to the SPA Operations Manager,
you'll
perform and certify maintenance, ensuring the Boeing BBJ and Falcon F7X
aircraft
are mission-ready, reliable, and presented to the highest standard.
Conduct and certify
aircraft
maintenance, rectification, and modification activities
in accordance with
OEM, CASA, and NGA SPA requirements.
Support line, heavy, and away-base maintenance to keep the SPA fleet serviceable across Australia and internationally.
Ensure
accurate
completion of maintenance documentation and entries in the Maintenance Information System (MIS).
Maintain
close coordination with the Duty LAME and Maintenance Operations Coordinator to meet operational and presentation requirements.
About You:
You're
a dedicated and detail-driven Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and operational excellence. You thrive in a high-performance environment and are ready to contribute to one of Australia's most unique and respected aviation programs.
CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (B1, B2, or dual B1/B2).
Type rating B***** MAX with Leap 1B (desirable).
In-depth knowledge of
aircraft
maintenance procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to perform under operational demands, including shift work and away-base assignments.
Strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Qualified presentation,
strong communication
skills, and a collaborative approach to achieving mission success.
