Job Description
We now have a great chance at our Karratha Grease and Lubricants Facilities for an Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Site Coordinator, in this full-time Operator role you will be responsible for the receipt, safe handling and storage of Lubricant and grease products. In addition to supporting the overall safety, operation and maintenance of the Karratha Grease and Lubricants Facilities.
Responsibilities
Operator surveillance
Product sampling from tanks and appropriate test points
Tank and bund water draining
Monitoring and recording product levels (tank dipping) and movements within the tank and site inventory system
Preparation and submission of daily stock sheets
Interceptor operations and storm water management
Responding to alarm condition
Valve, transfer and gantry operations
Work clearances
Line draining and isolations
Raising maintenance work notifications
Undertaking basic housekeeping duties in relation to operational areas, and work area/site
Tanker loading/unloading




Flexi-bag unloading
Hot oil systems operations
Product quality testing
Gas testing
Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
Ad hoc audits and interaction with drivers and their fleet vehicles for compliance and safe operations
Participation in HSSE assurance activities, audits, emergency response, work insights in the context of maintaining our safety management systems
HSSE incident and injury reporting
Qualifications

If you have not worked specifically in a lube/grease operation before don't worry, we will provide you with training and supportive mentoring to bring out your best.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a passion for safety and have the confidence to speak up when something isn't right. You care about people and want to be part of a tight knit team, are dependable, detail oriented and can apply innovative problem-solving skills. You are able to demonstrate a curiosity about operations or technology and have a proud track record in delivering on your promises.

Strong commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and a desire to continuously improve in these areas
Ability to hold a forklift licence (training will be provided)
A current drivers licence

Good communicator with a positive and flexible attitude
