Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
Assess statutory building applications and routine planning proposals
Provide pre-lodgement advice and respond to customer enquiries
Conduct inspections and technical assessments
Prepare reports, recommendations, and advice for internal and external stakeholders
Represent the City in public meetings, appeals, and enquiries
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a qualified and experienced Building Surveyor who is passionate about safe and sustainable development.



You'll ideally bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Building or a related discipline
Registration as a Building Surveyor Practitioner in WA (Level 1 or 2)
Strong knowledge of statutory building control in a local government context
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Sound judgement and decision-making abilities
Experience in building surveying and statutory assessment
Local government experience (desirable)
