The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support data and analytics initiatives. This role is hands-on and documentation-focused, ideal for someone who enjoys technical writing and creating clarity from complexity.
Duties may include some or all the following but not limited to:
Create technical and process documentation with accuracy and consistency.
Translate discussions and high-level input into transparent, actionable requirements and artefacts.
Prepare POC, Pilot, and RFQ documentation, including scope, objectives, success criteria,



and technical requirements.
Prepare tender packs with functional and technical requirements, supporting artefacts (e.g., architecture diagrams, current/future state documentation) and assist with vendor technical Q&A; and evaluations.
Perform gap analysis and document current- and future-state processes, systems, data flows, and integration points (ETL, APIs, Cloud).
Support rollout readiness, including data migration documentation, transition planning, and handover artefacts.
Proficient in creating technical documentation such as process maps, swim-lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications using tools like Visio and Confluence.
