Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving sales, procurement, and market expansion within the coffee industry. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, deep market insight, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships while aligning with global business strategies.
Reports to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
Drive sales growth by identifying new customers and opening new markets.
Ensure achievement of sales targets and contribute to the company's growth rate.
Set up promotional, marketing, and educational events with target clients across Australia.




Client Relationship Management
Nurture, grow, and expand the client base through industry experience, prior relationships, and marketing initiatives.
Maintain solid communication and engagement with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Strategic Planning & Market Research
Conduct market analysis and propose tailored business strategies for different regions.
Align market strategies with the global development plan of the company.
Monitor daily market exposure and make informed decisions to support trading strategies.
Procurement & Origin Coordination
Oversee purchasing activities in collaboration with origin teams.
Establish purchase plans aligned with global strategy and optimize global P&L.;
Follow up on shipment schedules and ensure smooth business execution.
Quality Assurance
Participate in daily cuppings and other QA-related activities to maintain product standards.
Risk Management
Monitor client drawdown paces, shipment schedules, and ensure timely payments.
Mitigate risks by maintaining close communication with clients and origin teams.
Additional Responsibilities
Support general office operations and logistics for incoming shipments.
Collaborate with internal teams to set up and manage various strategic projects.
Contribute ideas, suggestions, and market intelligence to support global growth initiatives
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, procurement, and strategic planning within the coffee industry.
Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments, contributing to cross-functional collaboration and shared goals.
