About the role
Reporting to the
National Head of PPD Domain
you
will work within a campus-based and cross-campus collaborative team environment to ensure the provision of a high-quality and contemporary teaching and learning, assessment and evaluation program for post-graduate medical students. Examples of domain-specific themes that are specific to PPD include:

Clinician wellbeing and qualified identity formation

Lifelong learning skills and reflective practice

Person-centred models and ethical healthcare

Professional behaviours and legal responsibilities

Collaborative teamwork and inclusive health environments
Key Responsibilities
Support the ongoing delivery and development of the Personal and Professional Development (PPD) curriculum domain in alignment with contemporary pedagogical and programmatic approaches.
Contribute to domain-specific orientation sessions, curriculum delivery including teaching in small group tutorials, assessment and evaluation programs and maintenance of updated teaching materials, learning resources and related communications.
On the Sydney campus, co-ordinate face-to-face,



online and hybrid teaching session delivery and contribute to the sourcing of expert speakers and session facilitators with support from academic and professional staff.
Work closely with a range of internal staff, external professionals, community members and contribute to staff recruitment, briefing, development, training and other related activities as required.
Display a scholarly approach to personal and professional development and health professions education work to assist with learning design and student outcomes across the MD program.
Consistently role-model the qualities and attributes associated
with
contemporary healthcare and key institutional objectives and a continued commitment to own personal and professional development.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Level B Teaching (Lecturer)
Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of a relevant professional body OR possession of a PhD OR a
Masters
level qualification in a relevant field with at least 5 years teaching experience in the Higher Education Sector
.
Fellowship of a relevant professional body and/or significant progress towards and/or equivalent professional expertise in health professions education
.
A Graduate certificate or higher in Health Professions Education and/or similar qualification is desirable.
Expertise in one or more streams of the Personal and Professional Development domain
.
Creative problem-solving,



critical thinking and demonstrated abilities in transformative and team-based leadership is highly desirable
.
Lecturer C Teaching (Senior Lecturer)
Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of a relevant professional body OR possession of a PhD OR a
Masters
level qualification in a relevant field with at least 5 years teaching experience in the Higher Education Sector.
