Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Parts Interpreter
to take charge of parts operations in a busy workshop workplace. This is a senior-level role, ideally suited to someone with strong technical parts knowledge and leadership capability in the heavy vehicle sector particularly across European truck brands.
You'll play a key role in ensuring fast, accurate parts supply to both the workshop floor and external customers, while overseeing inventory, supplier relationships, and stock control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, locate, and supply parts for Scania, Volvo, and other heavy transport vehicles
Provide technical support and parts interpretation for workshop technicians
Manage inventory levels, purchasing, stocktakes, and supplier coordination
Process quotes, orders, and invoices with accuracy and efficiency
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product changes and part number cross-referencing
Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients




Contribute to process improvements and team training as a senior member of the department
Support workshop planning by aligning parts availability with job scheduling
Ensure all parts operations meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Parts Interpreter role, ideally in heavy vehicle transport or dealership environments
Advanced knowledge of Scania and/or Volvo truck components is highly desirable
Strong supplier management and inventory control skills
Familiarity with parts management software (e.g. Pentana, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
Excellent communication, time management, and customer service abilities
Forklift licence desirable
Current manual drivers licence essential
