About the role
Commercial Equity Group is seeking a motivated Credit Analyst to join our small, dedicated equipment finance team in Launceston, Tasmania.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, sound credit judgement and an interest in asset and equipment finance.
Key responsibilities
Assess equipment finance applications in line with company credit policy, risk appetite and responsible lending obligations where applicable
Analyse customer financial information, cash flow, affordability, security position and creditworthiness
Review supporting documentation including financial statements, bank statements, asset details, invoices and business information
Prepare concise credit submissions and recommendations for approval
Liaise with clients, brokers, suppliers and internal team members throughout the application and settlement process
Manage approval conditions, settlement requirements and compliance checks accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes and turnaround times
Support a collaborative small-team environment focused on quality outcomes for customers and referral partners




About you
Experience in credit assessment, equipment finance, asset finance, commercial lending, banking or financial services
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and identify key credit risks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear credit recommendations
High attention to detail, sound judgement and solid organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and service standards
A practical, customer-focused mindset and willingness to work closely with a small, experienced team
Understanding of commercial credit, asset finance structures and PPSR/security documentation will be highly regarded
