About the role
You will work across a variety of carpentry and building projects, giving you the opportunity to use your existing skills while continuing to develop your experience in a practical and wide-ranging environment.
Projects may include remote housing, residential and commercial construction, renovations and general building works.
Working-away-from-home allowances are paid on top of your normal remuneration for eligible remote work.
Key responsibilities
General residential and commercial carpentry
Remote housing and construction projects
Framing, fit-outs and general building works
Renovations, repairs and maintenance
Reading plans and working from specifications
Working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship
Working alongside other trades and team members
Maintaining tools, vehicles and work areas
Completing work efficiently, professionally and to a high standard
About you
A fully qualified carpenter or in the final year of their apprenticeship




Preferred experience in the following areas is highly regarded:
Concreting
Blockwork
Painting
Roofing, cladding and flashing
External linings
Tiling
General building and maintenance worksExperienced in general carpentry and building work
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Proud of the quality of their workmanship
Willing to learn, develop and take on new challenges
Physically fit and comfortable working in a variety of environments
Interested in relocating to Alice Springs and committing to a long-term position
