FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER / PERSONAL ASSISTANT
My Place is assisting a NDIS participant and her family to recruit a female support worker.
Successful applicant will be employed directly by the participant and her family.
LOCATION: Ocean Reef, West Australia
About the Role
Join a small, family-led support team providing one-on-one support to a 43-year-old vibrant, sociable and outgoing young woman living with a physical disability.
There are currently three Personal Assistants in the team.
Hours Available
Weekends– two hour morning supports
Future hours to support evening and overnights.
Flexible hours to cover sick leave and annual leave of the team
About the Person You'll Support
You will be supporting an outgoing young woman who enjoys:
Shopping
Cosmetics – all things makeup and skincare
Watching various programs on television including streaming services
Loves to follow world news and events
Having a laugh
What You'll Do
Support community participation and social activities
Assist with daily living activities and personal goals
Personal care support including catheter and bowel management
Work collaboratively with the family and support team
Willing to assist with household domestic cleaning, tidying and running errands

Most importantly, you understand that outstanding support work is built on relationships.
We are looking for people who want to invest in a long-term connection, not simply fill shifts.
This position is best suited to applicants seeking long-term employment and will not be suitable for those looking for temporary, transitional or short-term work.
Requirements
Female applicants only.
This position involves personal care and intimate support and is exempt under the WA Equal Opportunity Act as a genuine occupational requirement.
Must be comfortable delivering personal care including emptying catheter and providing support with bowel care
Current WA Driver's Licence
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Full Australian working rights
