About the role
Ruby Medical Centre in Bridgetown is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team on a full-time or part time contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP to provide comprehensive primary care services to our diverse patient population in Bridgetown, WA.
The successful GP will have the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families while becoming an integral part of our established practice.

Key responsibilities
Conduct thorough consultations and clinical assessments for patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions
Diagnose illnesses and formulate appropriate treatment plans based on current clinical evidence and best-practice guidelines
Perform minor procedures and examinations as required within a general practice setting
Prescribe medications and provide patients with explicit advice regarding medication management and potential side effects
Manage chronic health conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma and cardiovascular disease
Conduct preventative health screenings and health promotion activities to support patient wellbeing
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with professional, legal and regulatory requirements
Liaise with specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
Provide appropriate follow-up care and monitor patient progress to support optimal health outcomes
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures within the practice
About you




Current registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Medical qualification with relevant postgraduate training in General Practice or equivalent experience
Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to manage a broad range of presentations commonly encountered in general practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency in medical practice management software and electronic health record systems
A commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based medicine
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A professional approach to patient confidentiality, clinical governance and duty of care
