THE ROLE
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service.
As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service are identified as appropriate for the service, triaged promptly and provided with frontline care in collaboration with the Urgent Care Medical Practitioner.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the first point of contact for patients and take responsibility for accurate and timely triage
Conduct thorough nursing assessments and prioritise care according to patient needs
Identify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration appropriately
Perform hands-on procedural care, including suturing and plastering
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting
Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and medical practitioners
Support patients to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes
Provide health education and empower patients to manage their wellbeing
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation to support continuity of care
Promote workplace health and safety and report incidents and hazards promptly
ABOUT YOU
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Must be available to work evenings and weekends
Experience in one or more of the following:
3 years' experience in an Emergency Department setting; OR
3 years' triage experience; OR
3 years' experience in ICU, CCU, rural or remote nursing
Previous experience in Emergency Department triage or remote nursing is preferred
Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and delegate appropriately
A passion for patient-centred care and a personable approach
MANDATORY CHECKS
Successful candidates will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check if not already obtained, with an International Police Check where relevant.
