SSS Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking applications from suitably qualified clinicians for a permanent position at our Townsville facility.
SSS is a locally owned and operated company that has provided specialised prosthetic and orthotic clinical services across three sites in North Queensland for more than 20 years.
We utilise the latest technology for assessment and manufacturing and pride ourselves on delivering client-focused outcomes and professional excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified with a minimum degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics
Eligible for membership with the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA)
Current, or ability to obtain, both a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Strong technical skills essential to effectively lead and support technicians
Proficient in clinical analysis
Highly motivated to develop and further their skills in Prosthetics and Orthotics
Ability to adhere to company quality management, health and safety systems and policies
Client-focused in every aspect of their work
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, whilst also demonstrating the ability to manage their own time and work efficiently and independently
Willingness to take on responsibility
Tasks & Responsibilities
Prescription, design, manufacture, fitting and review of custom-made orthoses and prostheses
Manufacturing of orthoses and prostheses
Attend clinics as required
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Participate in CPD events
Educate clinicians from other backgrounds about the role of an Orthotist
Successfully fit all types of orthoses to a high standard and arrange follow-up appointments where appropriate to reassess clinical outcomes and effectiveness
Maintain accurate clinical and technical notes to support and justify clinical decisions

Permanent full time position, with part-time applications considered for the right candidate
