ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Painter or Auto Body Technician to support the team in our CASA approved paint shop.
Preparation is a major part of this role.
We are looking for someone who understands that a quality finish starts well before the paint is applied.
You will need to take pride in sanding, filling, blocking, masking and final surface preparation, with a strong eye for imperfections.
We pride ourselves on high quality finishes and see safety as a priority, you will work with only the best practice safety equipment.
On a day to day basis the Painter will;
End to end Aircraft Painting: cleaning panels, surface preparation, sanding, body filler application, bog work, final panel preparation, priming, painting, and vinyl decal application.
Exterior Aircraft Care: washing, cleaning, polishing and detailing.
Completion of small ad-hoc cleaning and painting projects as identified by our Engineers, to support the longevity of the fleet.
Work to prescribed product specifications and instructions, providing feedback to other team members for the purpose of continuous improvement.




Support the efficiency of the paint shop through timely replenishment of consumables and maintenance of plant and equipment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in the auto body industry with sound knowledge of panel preparation, repairs, large scale bog/filler applications (spray painting and/or panel beating experience beneficial).
Competent with body filler, bog work and blocking techniques to ensure surfaces are ready for paint.
Compliance with surface finish process specifications and work order specifications.
Experience in spray painting onto various substrate materials in a high-quality environment.
Experience in the repair, replacement and refit of damaged panels and components.
Experience with polishing using electric buffs (beneficial).
Demonstrated pride in producing a high standard of work with exemplary attention to detail.
Knowledge of CASA regulations would be an advantage.
