THE ROLE
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service.
As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service are identified as appropriate for the service, triaged promptly and provided with frontline care in collaboration with the Urgent Care Medical Practitioner.

Your Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for patients and take responsibility for accurate and timely triageConduct thorough nursing assessments and prioritise care according to patient needsIdentify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration appropriatelyPerform hands-on procedural care, including suturing and plasteringDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced Urgent Care environmentDeliver compassionate, patient-centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and medical practitionersSupport patients to achieve the best possible clinical outcomesProvide health education and empower patients to manage their wellbeingMaintain accurate and timely patient documentation to support continuity of carePromote workplace health and safety and report incidents and hazards promptly
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseMinimum 3 years of experience as a Registered NurseMust be available to work evenings and weekendsExperience in one or more of the following:3 years' experience in an Emergency Department setting; OR3 years' triage experience; OR3 years' experience in ICU, CCU,
rural or remote nursingPrevious experience in Emergency Department triage or remote nursing is preferredAbility to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriatelyStrong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and delegate appropriatelyA passion for patient-centred care and a personable approach
MANDATORY CHECKS
Successful candidates will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check if not already obtained, with an International Police Check where relevant.
