About the role
Assist in the operation of the store to achieve sales targets and profitability through the effective dispensing of all prescriptions, the sale and promotion of contact lenses and audiology services, delivery of excellent customer service and delivery of continuous operational process improvements.
Key responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent customer service and support colleagues in delivering a quality customer experience
Deliver professional service and advice allowing customer buying decisions to be based on a wide range of factors, including products that best suit their lifestyle needs and budget
Approach customers promptly, whether they are browsing or waiting for help following an exam
Work closely with optometrists to ensure each customer experience is consistent and a quality 3-way handover is completed
Work closely with audiology professionals to ensure each customer experience is consistent and delivered to a high standard
Respond promptly and constructively to customer complaints
Explain the principals and application of all lens types
Accurately measure and dispense all lens types




Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and the customer understands the different types of lenses and coatings available to them in order to choose the solution that will suit their lifestyle needs and budget
Effectively operate a variety of generic till transactions and cash-up accurately
About you
High School Certificate or similar
A passion for providing the highest level of customer service and aftercare
Able to build rapport and adopt good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers
Able to work cohesively and productively within a team
Robust computer literacy (desirable)
Good standard of personal presentation (desirable)
Initiative, punctuality and reliability (desirable)
Flexible to work retail hours which may include late nights and weekends
