About the role
Mikeloren patisserie is seeking a
Qualified Baker
to join our talented team in North Tamworth, NSW.
This is a
full-time position
where you will take a central role in our daily operations, utilising your expertise to produce high-quality baked goods and pastries that delight our customers.
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining our reputation for excellence whilst contributing to the creative and technical direction of our bakery offerings.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
Ensure all products meet our stringent quality and consistency standards before they are offered to customers
Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bakery, adhering to food safety regulations
Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers and other specialised machinery
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Respond to customer requests and contribute ideas for new baked products and seasonal offerings
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results for all products
What we're looking for
Formal bakery or pastry qualification or recognised apprenticeship in baking
Proven experience working in a qualified bakery or patisserie environment
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and food safety practices




Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high quality standards
Excellent attention to detail and consistency in product production
Physical capability to perform manual tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items and working with hot equipment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work early morning shifts and possibly weekends as required
Experience with pastry work or specialty baking techniques would be advantageous
