About the role
FVS Fire Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced
Fire Sprinkler Fitter
to join our team in Malaga, WA.
This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work within the fire safety industry, contributing to the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring that properties are equipped with reliable fire protection systems, helping to safeguard lives and assets throughout Western Australia.
Key responsibilities
Performing maintenance and servicing of existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure continued operational efficiency
Diagnosing and repairing faults in fire sprinkler systems, identifying issues and implementing solutions
Conducting repairs to fire hose reel systems
Conducting repairs to fire hydrant systems
Annual and 5 yearly servicing to fire sprinkler systems
Maintaining accurate records of work completed, including service reports and system documentation
Adhering to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and secure work practices
Contributing to continuous improvement of work processes and sharing knowledge with team members
What we're looking for
A recognised qualification in fire sprinkler fitting, or a related trade, with evidence of formal training or apprenticeship completion
Proven experience of at least 2-3 years working as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter or in a similar plumbing-related role within the fire safety sector
Strong knowledge of Australian fire safety standards
Fire panel isolation experience
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialist equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system faults
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external clients
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites across WA
A commitment to health and safety practices
