About the role
Fremantle Diesel Services is looking for an experienced and motivated
Truck Mechanic
to join our team on a full‐time basis.
This is a key role within our workshop, where you'll work hands‐on with a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of our clients' fleets.

Key responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and associated systems
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and inspections on heavy diesel vehicles
Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to assess performance and locate issues
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components and mechanical systems
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all maintenance and repairs performed
Comply with health and safety regulations and best practices within the workshop setting
Deliver high‐quality workmanship within agreed timeframes
What we're looking for
Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or equivalent trade qualification is required (Heavy Diesel Mechanic)
Proven experience in truck, bus, or heavy equipment repair and Maintenance
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, computer-aided diagnostic tools, and workshop machinery




Strong technical knowledge of diesel fuel systems, hydraulic systems, brake systems, and engine management
The ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic documentation
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues independently
A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to industry standards and regulations
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Attention to detail and a professional approach to customer service
Current min valid Class C driver's
