Twenty 9 Piper is looking for an experienced
Cook / Café Chef
to join our team in a full-time role.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced cook or chef — including a strong 2IC or senior cook — looking for a stable, full time daytime role in a busy café kitchen.
You'll work alongside our existing chef, sharing responsibility for service, preparation and the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
We serve breakfast, brunch and lunch, with a focus on well-prepared, consistent café food.
This is a daytime role with no night shifts or split shifts.
The Role
You'll be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day kitchen operation, including:
Preparing and cooking breakfast, brunch and lunch during service
Running service confidently and efficiently
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portioning
Managing daily prep and keeping the kitchen organised for service
Stock rotation and assisting with ordering and stock control
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene
Working closely with our front-of-house team to deliver smooth service
Contributing ideas for specials and new menu items
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has solid experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a café or similar fast-paced kitchen
Can work independently when required and collaboratively as part of a small kitchen team
Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
Understands the importance of consistency,



preparation and a clean kitchen
Can make good decisions and stay organised during a busy service
Works well as part of a close-knit team
Has flexible availability across weekdays and weekends
You don't need to have been a Head Chef.
