Casual Disability Support Worker position on a fortnightly rotation of
active night
,
weekday, afternoon, split and weekend shifts
inclusive of
public holiday shifts
as required (remuneration per respective shifts in compliance with the
Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA************
).
The following requirements also need to be satisfied in order to be considered for the position:

Own driver's license and vehicle
·
National Police Check
·
Relevant qualifications in disability support or nursing (either completed or currently acquiring).
·
CPR & First Aid certification (preferred)




Successful applicants will join a small team of carers providing disability support exclusively for a person living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at their personal residence (
***** minute drive from Ballarat CBD
) as well as during medical appointments and social outings; the duties of which include:
· Providing physical assistance for all daily activities.
· Monitoring health of person being cared for.
· Attending to all general health & hygiene routines.
· Meal preparation and assistance.
· Performing basic household chores for person being cared for.
