Canteen Trigg is a beachside cafe located in Trigg.
We offer a relaxed atmosphere providing a great spot for both dine in and take away meals.
We're open seven days a week, with no late-night finishes, making this a great chance for someone looking for a positive and balanced kitchen environment.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join the team on a casual basis.
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining the standards of our kitchen operations.
You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the overall experience of our customers.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and quality throughout all food preparation processes
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking appliances
Follow portion control guidelines and plating specifications to ensure consistency across all dishes
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation during service
Respond to special dietary requirements and food allergen requests from guests




Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience working as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards during busy service periods
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a kitchen team
Attention to detail and commitment to presenting food to a high standard
Flexibility, reliability and availability to work weekends and public holidays
