This is a weekend kitchen hand role.
A Kitchen Hand assists the kitchen and cafe team with cleaning and general kitchen duties to help keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with basic food preparation and plating
Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas, benches, and equipment
Assisting chefs and cooks with general kitchen tasks
Receiving and storing deliveries when required
Taking out rubbish and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
Following food safety and hygiene standards
Helping with general duties as needed during busy periods
Skills & Requirements:
Good attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Reliable and punctual
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
Ideal candidate:
Someone who is reliable, hardworking, organized, and happy to get stuck in and support the kitchen team.
