Medical Receptionist
to join our dynamic team on a
casual basis

Klemzig SA ****
, this role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our health centre.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional environment whilst managing the administrative tasks that keep our centre running efficiently.
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent patient experiences and supporting our clinical and administrative teams.
What you'll be doing
Greeting patients and visitors in a warm, qualified manner and directing them appropriately
Managing patient check-ins and check-outs using our medical management systems
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, ensuring optimal calendar management
Handling incoming calls, taking messages and directing enquiries to the appropriate staff member
Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
Managing appointment cancellations and rescheduling with efficiency and empathy
Handling basic administrative tasks including filing, photocopying and mail distribution
Processing patient payments and managing petty cash when required
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Supporting other administrative staff as needed to ensure smooth centre operations
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a reception or customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare environment
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanour




Proficiency with computers and familiarity with medical practice management software or willingness to learn
A friendly, patient and empathetic approach to patient interactions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations, including understanding of health information privacy principles
Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
Flexibility and adaptability in a casual working arrangement
Current knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not essential
