Geoquest Australia is seeking a Senior Precaster to join their team!

As Senior Precaster you will play a pivotal role in leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality precast products that contribute to some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing?
Lead daily operations
— Plan, organise, and guide a small team of Precast Operators to consistently and efficiently meet production targets in a structured and supportive environment.
Champion workplace safety
— Take ownership of ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and in full alignment with site safety requirements, fostering a culture where everyone goes home safe.
Deliver quality precast products
— Oversee the production process end-to-end, maintaining high standards of workmanship and professional conduct throughout.
Model best practice
— Set the benchmark across all stages of precast manufacture, including mould preparation,



concrete placement and finishing, demoulding, stacking, storage, housekeeping, and worksite organisation.
Develop and support your team
— Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and play an active role in the training and successful onboarding of new employees.
Ensure compliance with specifications
— Verify that all products meet engineering drawings, quality standards, and procedural requirements to uphold the highest levels of accuracy and integrity.
Foster teamwork and communication
— Build a positive, cooperative working environment within your team and across the broader workforce.
Uphold company policies
— Adhere to all company procedures, safety rules, and operational guidelines at all times to support a consistent and accountable workplace.
Contribute ideas
— Share current ideas and suggestions that drive continuous improvement and contribute to the organisation's ongoing success.
Who are they looking for?
Relevant trade experience
— A background in a relevant trade is essential, as this role requires hands-on knowledge of precast manufacturing and construction processes.
Hazard identification and awareness
— A robust understanding of hazard identification and workplace safety awareness is important, ensuring a safe environment for the whole team.
Forklift licence
— A forklift licence is preferred, though candidates who are willing to work towards obtaining one are also encouraged to consider this opportunity.
