We are a collaborative, supportive and geographically dispersed national team, and this role can be undertaken from anywhere in Australia.About the roleAs Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of training product development and review projects, from initiation and consultation through to publication on the National Training Product Register.
You will work closely with industry stakeholders, government representatives, subject matter experts and internal teams to ensure training products are contemporary, compliant and aligned with workforce needs.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, nationally significant work and contribute to vocational pathways across the building, construction, property and water industries.What you'll be doing
Lead the planning and end-to-end delivery of training product development and review projects
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks and quality
Implement fit-for-purpose project governance, plans and reporting
Facilitate Technical Committees, working groups and stakeholder workshops
Partner with Industry Engagement Leads and State Managers to plan and coordinate consultation
Build trusted relationships with industry, government and technical stakeholders
Prepare qualified reports, briefings and presentations
Represent BuildSkills nationally in external meetings and forums
What you'll bring
Strong knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, including Training Package requirements
Significant VET sector experience
Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and extended delivery timeframes
Proven stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability
Sound judgement and the ability to navigate diverse perspectives, competing priorities and emerging risks
Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
The ability to work collaboratively and deliver outcomes in a geographically dispersed environment
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in vocational education, project management or related field.
Highly regarded: Experience developing training products and Companion Volume Implementation Guides (Training Package Organising Framework).
