13 beds in ED 3 beds in short stay The Emergency Department sees approximately 28,000 to 32,000 presentations per annum. An extremely varied mix of presentations gives clinical staff many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in procedural work and broad clinical experience.
Rostered hours: Minimum of 4 x 10 hour shifts per week as per department roster. Monday to Sunday On call: Shared 1 in 3
Staffing levels: 2.25 FTE x Director of Emergency , 9.0 FTE x FACEM / SMO Emergency, 8 FTE x Registrars/PHO (ACEM Registrar or Emergency Medicine AST pathway) , 8 FTE x Resident Medical Officer (including recognition for CCT in Paediatrics) , 3 FTE x Interns
