About the role
As Training Product Developer, you will develop, review and finalise nationally recognised training products and associated Companion Volume Implementation Guides.
Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will translate complex technical and industry information into clear, compliant documentation and support training products through consultation, government review, endorsement and publication.
This role offers the opportunity to build on your existing experience, deepen your specialist expertise and develop broader capability across the full training product lifecycle.
As your capability and contribution grow, there may also be opportunities to progress into more senior specialist or broader project delivery roles.
What you'll be doing
Develop, review and maintain nationally recognised training products and Companion Volume Implementation Guides.
Translate complex technical, industry and regulatory information into clear and compliant documentation, as found on training.gov.
Work within project teams to deliver activities to agreed scope, milestones and timeframes.
Support Technical Committee activities, including meeting preparation and documentation,
and accurately incorporate approved decisions and revisions.
Consult with subject matter experts and industry stakeholders to validate content, assess and synthesise feedback, and support evidence-informed recommendations.
Maintain accurate consultation, mapping, document-control and version-control records.
Apply quality assurance processes and prepare documentation for government review, endorsement and publication.
What you'll bring
Capabilities
Strong knowledge of the Australian VET system, nationally recognised training products and Training Package requirements.
Sound technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and precisely.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply standards, frameworks and government requirements.
Well-developed analytical and critical-thinking skills, sound judgement and attention to detail.
Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timeframes.
Experience
Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing and maintaining nationally recognised training products, Companion Volume Implementation Guides and related documentation.
Experience applying the Training Package Organising Framework, Standards for Training Packages and relevant government requirements to training product development.
Experience maintaining mapping, consultation and version-control records.
Experience with Training Product Central and the National Training Register will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification in VET, adult education, instructional design, training product development, writing, communications or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
