This organisation operates within the aged care sector, providing essential care and support services to the community. The HR team plays a key role in attracting, onboarding and supporting employees across a broad workforce and is seeking additional support to maintain recruitment and onboarding activities.
Your new role
This temporary position has been created to support the People & Culture function during a period of increased recruitment activity. Initially offered as a 2-month contract with the potential to extend, this role will focus on coordinating recruitment, onboarding and HR administration processes.
As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will work closely with managers across the organisation to support workforce needs and deliver a professional candidate and employee experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating recruitment activities from advertising vacancies through to employee commencement
- Liaising with managers to identify staffing requirements and suitable candidates
- Screening applications and coordinating interviews
- Assisting with candidate selection and conducting reference checks
- Coordinating pre-employment compliance requirements and background checks
- Preparing employment offers and recruitment documentation
- Coordinating onboarding, induction and mandatory training requirements
- Managing employee offboarding processes, including exit documentation
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee and recruitment records
- Monitoring compliance documentation, including licences, qualifications and screening requirements
- Preparing HR-related correspondence and supporting general HR administration
- Assisting with employee engagement initiatives, events and recognition programs
- Providing support with recruitment reporting and vacancy updates to management
This is a hands-on,
coordination-focused role suited to someone who enjoys balancing recruitment, compliance and administrative responsibilities in a busy workplace.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR administration or a related role
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best-practice onboarding activities
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office and HR information systems
- The ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting HR and recruitment activities
Desirable:
- Experience working within aged care, healthcare or a highly regulated environment
- Understanding of compliance requirements relating to workforce screening and onboarding
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
