The Role

You'll build a retained Executive Search desk focused on Corporate Services appointments across HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Communications and Business Support within the government sector.

This is a true business development role,



with around 70% of your time focused on winning retained search assignments and 30% delivering high-quality recruitment processes. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional recruiter.

What They're Looking For

3+ years' recruitment experience

Permanent recruitment experience preferred

Robust business development and relationship-building skills

Confident speaking with senior stakeholders

Executive Search or retained recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential

Recruiters from HR, Finance, Procurement, Business Support or Government recruitment backgrounds would transition particularly well.

Salary & Benefits

Base salary up to AUD $140K + Super for exceptional candidates

Robust commission structure with earning potential up to 40% above threshold

Average fees currently AUD $15K-$20K, with fees increasing as the desk continues moving further into senior executive appointments
