About the Position
This is a senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager role overseeing multiple projects across surface maintenance, including major concentrator tanks, hydro infrastructure and smelter facilities. You will take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, working closely with maintenance, engineering and operational teams to deliver safe, efficient and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical projects across surface maintenance operations.
- Manage projects from planning and mobilisation through to execution, completion and close-out.
- Coordinate contractors, engineering teams, maintenance personnel and key site stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and reporting requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with site standards and procedures.
- Provide strong project leadership across major assets including concentrator tanks, hydro infrastructure and smelter facilities.
- Support project handover, commissioning and close-out activities.
Experience Required
- Several years experience in Project Management within a mining, resources, heavy industrial or similar workplace.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with proven experience delivering mechanical projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently from concept through to completion.
- Previous experience across surface maintenance projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, contractor management and project controls.
- Ability to confidently manage stakeholders across engineering, maintenance, operations and contracting teams.
- Experience working on major mining or processing facilities is highly regarded.
- Civil project management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
