An established specialist recruitment firm based in Melbourne CBD is hiring a Senior Consultant to join their growing Public Practice division.

The business focuses on accounting and legal recruitment across Australia, with a strong reputation in the Public Practice market and a highly candidate-driven approach. With a team of experienced consultants and supportive leadership, this is an opportunity to step into a mature environment where relationships, trust and delivery matter more than rigid KPIs.

This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who enjoys sourcing, headhunting and building long-term networks rather than high-pressure sales environments.

The Opportunity

You will focus on permanent recruitment within Public Practice accounting, covering Melbourne or Sydney markets depending on your experience and network.

Approximately 80% of the role is candidate-led, including:

Headhunting and sourcing high-quality accounting professionals

Building long-term candidate relationships and referral networks

Managing recruitment processes end-to-end

Floating candidates into existing and new client relationships

Developing opportunities in suburban markets with strong hiring demand

The business operates nationally, with consultants in Melbourne recruiting across multiple states, offering strong desk scalability.
