Job Description
About the Role
The Senior Manager Facilities, Housing and Fleet provides strategic and operational leadership across Novita's property, facilities, housing and fleet portfolios. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring organisational assets are safe, compliant, financially sustainable and aligned to service delivery needs, while supporting future growth and development opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the strategic management and optimisation of Novita's facilities, housing and fleet portfolios
- Driving asset, property and fleet strategies that support organisational priorities, sustainability and service excellence
- Overseeing facilities maintenance, capital works, asset lifecycle planning and property lease management
- Managing the performance and growth of Novita Housing, including Disability Housing and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
- Ensuring strong commercial performance across housing, facilities and fleet operations through effective financial planning and resource management
- Identifying and evaluating housing development, acquisition and portfolio enhancement opportunities
- Leading governance, risk and insurance activities across the asset portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with housing providers, developers, government agencies and other key stakeholders
- Using data, insights and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making
- Leading, developing and empowering a high-performing multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Experience, Qualifications & Expertise
We are seeking a strategic, people-focused leader with commercial nous and experience managing complex asset portfolios and driving operational excellence.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in facilities, property, housing, asset management, fleet management, or other asset-intensive environments
- Strong commercial and financial management skills, including budget management, forecasting, capital planning and performance optimisation
- Experience managing large-scale asset portfolios, maintenance programs, capital works projects and service contracts
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-term asset, property or fleet strategies aligned to organisational objectives
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships, contract negotiations and strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, external partners and service providers
- Experience within disability services, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), social/community housing, health, aged care or other regulated environments will be highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Property Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline are desirable
