- The General Medical ward comprises 30 beds, including a Close Observation unit for patients requiring a higher level of care
- Medical services are provided by ward based doctors and VMO's including local General Practitioners who have admitting rights
- Patients with private health insurance are able to select any available Doctor with admmitting rights to look after them. A General Physician and a Gerontologist provide services in the general ward as well, along with a range of allied health services

Urgent opportunity for a Career Medical Officer to cover inpatient ward shifts at a Northern NSW Hospital from 20 August to 23 August 2026.

Sunday, 23 August 2026 15:00 - Sunday, 23 August 2026 23:00 Evening Shift

Days are spent working alongside an RMO and Consultant. Evening shifts are solo in-charge. The successful candidate may be required to be on call overnight for wards (Inpatients/Rehab) if unable to cover ED nights, which will be advised upon booking. On-call is remunerated at 1 hour of the booked rate,



with reimbursement if called into the department.
