Located in the leafy community of Montmorency, our centre offers bright spaces, expansive outdoor environments, custom-built cubby houses, forts and sandpits that inspire children to explore, create and learn.

About the Role
As the Education and Practice Leader, you will play a key role in leading high-quality pedagogy, curriculum implementation and reflective practice across the centre. This position supports, mentors and guides educators to deliver inclusive, engaging and child-centred learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and Niño Early Learning Adventures' Positive Education curriculum.
- Lead, mentor and coach educators to strengthen curriculum planning, inclusive practice and high-quality teaching across all classrooms.
- Champion the Positive Education curriculum, including character strengths, wellbeing initiatives and centre-wide programs.
- Guide educators through the Early Years Learning Framework planning and assessment cycle to document meaningful learning experiences.
- Foster a culture of critical reflection, collaboration and continuous improvement through coaching, observations and reflective conversations.
- Promote safe, engaging and inclusive indoor and outdoor environments that respond to children’s strengths, interests and individual needs.
- Support compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Standard and the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan.
- Deliver orientation, training and ongoing professional support to current and existing educators.
- Complete curriculum audits,
monthly reporting and documentation to demonstrate progress, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Centre Manager, leadership team, Education and Practice Leader network and local education services to strengthen educational outcomes.
- Partner with families through newsletters and centre displays that celebrate learning and bring Positive Education initiatives to life.
This is a permanent part-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating roster between 6:30am and 6:30pm.
About You
As a compassionate and inspiring Education & Practice Leader at Niño ELA, you will have:
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education and Care, with leadership responsibilities such as Room Leader, Educational Leader, 3IC or 2IC.
- Experience working closely with a Centre Management team and mentoring educators.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
- Experience developing and overseeing educational programs and resources.
- Previous experience as an Education & Practice Leader (1–2 years preferred).
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with Xplor or similar systems.
