A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well-established Perth based Family Office, managing a diverse portfolio of operating businesses, investments and family assets. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function while gaining exposure to broader commercial, governance and investment activities over time.

As Financial Controller, you will lead all day-to-day finance operations, oversee a small accounting team and ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting, compliance, forecasting and financial governance. Working closely with the General Manager, you will act as a trusted adviser, providing insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making across a varied portfolio of entities.

This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional financial control responsibilities and become involved in broader Family Office activities including taxation, investments, governance, company secretarial matters and strategic projects.

Your new role

- Lead and oversee financial control, reporting and compliance activities across multiple entities.
- Manage month-end, year-end and consolidated reporting processes.
- Deliver board-quality management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Lead taxation compliance and governance activities, including interaction with external advisers.
- Provide financial modelling and commercial analysis to support investments, growth initiatives and strategic projects.
- Lead, mentor and develop the small finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems,



reporting and finance processes.

What you'll need to succeed

- CA or CPA qualified.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and compliance expertise.
- Demonstrated experience managing taxation obligations and external advisers.
- Advanced financial modelling and commercial analysis capability.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys working closely with decision-makers.
- Ability to operate effectively within a dynamic, entrepreneurial and relationship-driven environment.
- Experience working within a Family Office, privately owned group, investment setting or complex multi-entity structure with exposure to tax, governance and board reporting will be highly regarded.
