About the role

Neami National has partnered with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) to deliver a Medicare Mental Health Centre in Alice Springs. The ASMMHC provides the Alice Springs community an alternative service to attend when experiencing mental health crisis. The centre provides free, immediate, short and medium-term care to adults over the age of 18 years with the aim of making it easier for anyone living in Alice Springs to access equitable, free, and quality mental health support. The ASMMHC offers a welcoming place for people to access mental health information, services and supports from qualified professionals (clinical and lived experience staff) over extended hours.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for GPs who can build strong, trusting relationships with Mental Health patients and the community. If you have:

- Current AHPRA registration.

- RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship.

- Commitment to Culturally responsive care.

The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and bring exceptional clinical skills, a proactive, flexible attitude, coupled with a genuine respect for diverse patient backgrounds
