As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting Halbuild's next stage of growth. This is an chance to work across a varied portfolio of construction projects, with a strong focus on government tenders and procurement opportunities.

We are looking for someone who brings strong bid management experience, but equally importantly, someone who genuinely wants to be part of a collaborative team. At Halbuild, bids are not developed in isolation. Our Bid Manager will work closely with our Managing Director and project teams, and broader business to develop submissions that accurately reflect our capability, experience and approach to project delivery.

About the Role:

The Bid Manager will take ownership of the full tender and bid process, from opportunity identification and bid strategy through to submission and post-tender activities.

The role will be responsible for leading the preparation of high-quality, competitive and compliant submissions, with a particular focus on government construction tenders. You will have opportunity to drive business development and research market trends, shaping the opportunities that Halbuild takes.

Working collaboratively across the business, the Bid Manager will coordinate technical, commercial and operational inputs to ensure each submission clearly demonstrates Halbuild's capability, project experience and value proposition.

The successful candidate will also contribute to business development,



tender strategy and the ongoing improvement of Halbuild's bid systems, processes and content.

Your role will require you to:

- Manage and lead the full tender and bid process from opportunity identification through to final submission.

- Have experience working with GC21 & MW21 contracts

- Lead the preparation of tenders, EOIs, RFQs, RFTs and other procurement submissions.

- Develop bid strategies that respond directly to client requirements, evaluation criteria and project objectives.

- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop robust and accurate submissions.

- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to obtain technical, commercial, programme and project-specific information.

- Review tender and contract documentation to identify key risks, obligations, deliverables and project requirements.

- Manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting strict submission deadlines.

- Identify new tender opportunities and contribute to broader business development initiatives.

- Maintain and continually improve bid documents, project case studies, capability information and tender content.

- Review unsuccessful and successful submissions to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other industry stakeholders.

About You:

- Minimum 4+ years' experience in bid management within the construction industry or a closely related sector.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex construction tenders from initial opportunity assessment through to submission.





- Demonstrated ability to interpret evaluation criteria and develop structured, persuasive and compliant responses.

- Strong written communication, editing and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Experience reviewing contracts, tender conditions and commercial requirements and identifying potential risks.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- A genuine team player who enjoys collaborating with others, sharing knowledge and contributing to the success of the broader team.

- Comfortable working closely with operational and project delivery staff to understand projects and translate technical information into compelling submissions.

- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously while recognising that the strongest outcomes are achieved through collaboration.

- A desire to grow with the business and contribute to improving Halbuild's bid capability as the company continues to expand.
