Salary: $79,500 - $90,000 plus superannuation

The Restaurant
Mamasan has been a Gold Coast institution for over a decade – awarded, respected, and built on a reputation for exceptional modern Asian cuisine and refined service. Following continued growth and a strong calendar of upcoming large-scale events, we're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the floor and take full ownership of day-to-day operations.

- 150–250 covers per service
- Multiple environments: private dining, cocktail bar, alfresco, and open kitchen counter
The Opportunity
RESTAURANT MANAGER – Full-Time Position at Mamasan
This is a senior floor leadership role. You'll drive service standards during high-volume, premium dining services, take full responsibility for day-to-day operations, and help lead the team through several upcoming large-scale events – ensuring every guest experience reflects the quality Mamasan is known for.
Menu & Guest Experience
- Support implementation of signature and seasonal menus in line with our brand identity and reputation for innovation
- Maintain a high standard of beverage execution, hospitality and guest engagement
- Manage customer concerns calmly and professionally, responding to feedback proactively to exceed guest expectations
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor front of house staff, ensuring consistent performance, professionalism and energy on shift
- Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing requirements
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure effective operations and high service standards
Operations & Standards
- Coordinate reservations and table allocations, ensuring smooth service delivery and flow
- Monitor restaurant performance, daily takings and operational costs, including stock levels and accurate financial transactions
- Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations, including the cleanliness, functionality and appearance of the dining area and kitchen
- Coordinate and oversee private events, group bookings and special occasions, ensuring seamless planning and execution from enquiry through to delivery
- Manage inventory procurement and supplier ordering, maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices and pricing strategies in line with operational budgets
What We're Looking For
You are calm under pressure, hands-on, and take genuine pride in the standard of service your team delivers.
- At least 12 months' industry experience in a similar role, with a proven history of working in fine dining establishments highly desirable
- Formal hospitality qualifications are advantageous but not essential (relevant experience can substitute for the formal qualifications depending on the candidate)
- Dedication to working in a safe and effective manner
