Reports to: Horticultural Manager

About the operations:

We are a commercial operation, on a rural estate, comprising Thoroughbred horses, Cattle and a Vineyard Operation approximately 20kms North of Margaret River in Western Australia.

We are seeking an experienced individual to be part of our team to maintain and improve the significant gardens and relevant infrastructure within the grounds.

You will be part of a team of professional 4/5 full time employees contributing to the successful operation of the farm.

About the role:

This role is involved in all aspects of maintaining the gardens, orchard, lawns and grounds plus establishing new plantings and gardens in the future. The successful candidate will share our values of being honest, hard-working and motivated in all respects. It will be important to be a self-starter and take great pride in your work.

Primary Objectives:

- Maintenance and care of existing lawns and established gardens (approximately 4 acres), including a 30-stage reticulation system





- Input into the next stage of development of the gardens and plantings

- Maintaining the orchard and general farm grounds

Essential Criteria:

- 5+ years experience as a gardener/groundskeeper (as lawns cover a large area)

- Positive time management skills

- Self-motivated, willing to learn, proactive, passionate and strong work ethic

- Reticulation management and general maintenance

- Keen interest in plants and gardens

- Manual driver’s license

- Knowledge of local South West plants and conditions would be an advantage

This is a full time, permanent position. Remuneration package of $75,000 to $82,500 including superannuation. However there is flexibility for a highly experienced gardener/person for a 3 to 4 day per week role.
