South West Freight is a locally owned and operated transport and logistics company based in Mount Gambier. We are looking for a reliable and motivated MR or HR Truck Driver to join our local team.

The Position

- Minimum 38 hours per week

- Local work based in Mount Gambier

- Home every night

- Training and support provided

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

- Local delivery and collection work using our forklift truck.

- Loading, unloading and re-loading trailers

- Correctly restraining freight in accordance with load restraint requirements

- Conducting pre-start inspections of trucks, forklifts and trailers

- Identifying and reporting vehicle or equipment faults

- Completing required transport and delivery paperwork

- Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism

What We’re Looking For

- Current MR or HR Driver’s Licence

- Reliable and safety-focused attitude





- Valuable communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A willingness to learn and develop within the transport industry

Forklift licence is an advantage but is not essential.
If you don't currently hold a forklift licence, you must be willing to obtain one — South West Freight will cover the cost.

Experience

Previous transport or forklift experience is preferred; however, training will be provided to the right person, including applicants with limited industry experience.
