We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy meat processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, leading the processing team, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with strong experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or a similar production workplace.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate daily meat processing and production activities.
- Plan production schedules and ensure orders are completed on time and to specification.
- Supervise, train and support production staff, ensuring efficient workflow across the processing floor.
- Monitor production volumes, yields, productivity and labour requirements.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
- Ensure all employees follow workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Monitor equipment and production processes and coordinate maintenance when required.




- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and minimise downtime.
- Manage stock levels of raw materials, packaging and other production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports and documentation.
- Investigate and resolve production, quality or operational issues.
- Work closely with management, quality assurance, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of production staff.
- Ensure the processing facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Drive a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement.
