Who are Racing Queensland?
Racing Queensland (RQ) is a statutory body whose primary purpose is to promote, enhance and provide a platform to service the industry across three codes of racing: thoroughbred, greyhound, and harness. RQ's mission is to champion excellent racing and events which connect Queensland communities.
Racing Queensland is looking for an Education Administrator to join the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) on a permanent basis with flexible work options.
What you'll do, day to day
- Providing efficient and accurate administrative support across all education and training activities
- Completing financial administration tasks, including purchase orders, invoicing, receipting, reimbursements, and credit card reconciliation
- Coordinating student administration within the Student Management System (SMS), ensuring accurate enrolments, invoicing, and payment receipting
- Delivering effective coordination of workshops, training activities, and program logistics
- Acting as the first point of contact for education enquiries, managing the training inbox and phone communications, and triaging or escalating matters as required
- Communicating with external stakeholders on education related issues and topics

Please note the following conditions apply:
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Business, or a related field, and/or demonstrated experience in a general administration or coordination role is required
- Willingness to upskill and develop knowledge in vocational education, training administration, and RTO operations
- Must undergo a criminal history check, Queensland Blue Card, and Working with Children checks in TAS and SA, or obtain them upon commencement
- Must always abide by the Racing Queensland RTO Child Protection Code of Conduct and RTO Child Protection Policy
- May be required to work on weekends and outside standard hours when reasonably required
- Demonstrated understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the sport of racing and the nuances associated with the industry
- Commitment to ongoing professional development relevant to the position within the RTO
- Mental health first aid training is required or willingness to obtained upon commencement
- Holding a current driver's licence is desirable
